The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of Suddenly Spellbound. . .
I had so much fun with this light, easy to follow reading. I was able to get started and enjoyed myself all the way to the end. It was quick to jump in and know what was going on. There were no complication in understand the premise of this book.

Ivie got it right this time. She has a trustworthy man to walk down the aisle with. Or do she. She has to contend with her formerly deceased father and his scheme. Another goat, a Scottish clan, more magic, spells, and yes Jack and an apprentice.

There was fun to be had in the lighthearted read that was great for the winter blues mood that I was in. Pick it up curl up in a good spot with any thing you will need to complete a read.  I hoping the next will be just a lighthearted and fun.

Along the way, she encounters a promise made before she was born, a clan of Scottish sorcerers in kilts, and yet another goat.

Erica Lucke DeanAfter walking away from her career as a business banker to pursue writing full-time, Erica moved from the hustle and bustle of the big city to a small tourist town in the North Georgia Mountains where she lives in a 90-year-old haunted farmhouse with her workaholic husband, her 180lb lap dog, and at least one ghost.
When she’s not busy writing or tending to her collection of crazy chickens, diabolical ducks, and a quintet of piglets, hell bent on having her for dinner, she’s either reading bad fan fiction or singing karaoke in the local pub. Much like the main character in To Katie With Love, Erica is a magnet for disaster, and has been known to trip on air while walking across flat surfaces.

How she’s managed to survive this long is one of life’s great mysteries.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of
This was the kind of kindergarten teacher that I could have had a great time with.  Sweet Ivie has had a really bad day to begin this all off on a really bad foot. She goes on a trip she despises. She gets dumped. She finds that life can be worse but she was determined to make them better.

She has some true friends that work the help her with the situation she finds herself wrapped in. There was fun to be had all around. Maybe not so much for Matt or Ivie at times. But this was a light fun read that kept me going. I needed this read a the time I got it and loved the way it just made me laugh.

Now just to have a bit of it to rub off on the people that I want to turn in to something not quite human. That would really make my day.

BLURB
PMS can be a real witch.

Ivie McKie isn’t your run-of-the-mill kindergarten teacher. After an encounter with a horny goat, followed by a confrontation with her lying, cheating fiancĂ©, Ivie is shocked when the big jerk suddenly transforms into a skunk—the black and white furry variety.

Enlisting the help of her shopaholic friend Chloe and sexy club magician Jackson Blake, Ivie is forced to play a literal game of cat and mouse as she races against the clock to change her ex back before she's arrested for his murder.

With every new spell comes a fresh wave of sexual desire, drawing Jack further into Ivie’s troubles—her panties, the car, the kitchen, and assorted seedy bathrooms along the way.

Ivie soon discovers what every witch worth her spell book knows: There’s nothing worse than a bad case of Post Magical Syndrome.

READ-2-REVIEW - They Call Me Crazy by Kelly Stone Gamble

They Call Me Crazy
by Kelly Stone Gamble
Publication Date November 12th 2014
Red Adept Publishing, LLC
Genre: Mystery

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of They Call Me Crazy . . .
Talking about getting the full scope of a situation. There was a different perspective with each new chapter. How the Kelly kept it all straight? I guess I will never know, but I will say this. It sure did give something insightful to this mystery. It was very much more to the saying 'There is more than meets the eye." There was depth of characters and plot line. This mystery was taken on a ride and the journey was not a disappointment in the least. I was trying to scope it all with each new chapter and things just takes on a new aspect of something more.

Cass was in this all on her own. No one wanted to listen to what she has to say. Everyone wanted to believe the absolute worse about her. Most thought her to be crazy. Ones concept of crazy is not necessary the truth.

There are a host of characters and twist that you will not be expecting. If you are looking for something a little differnt than the norm of mystery. I advise taking a good look at They Call Me Crazy.  This should have ended with a question mark int he title.

BLURB
They Call Me Crazy
Cass Adams is crazy, and everyone in Deacon, Kansas, knows it. But when her good-for-nothing husband, Roland, goes missing, no one suspects that Cass buried him in their unfinished koi pond. Too bad he doesn’t stay there for long. Cass gets arrested on the banks of the Spring River for dumping his corpse after heavy rain partially unearths it.

The police chief wants a quick verdict—he’s running for sheriff and has no time for crazy talk. But like Roland’s corpse, secrets start to surface, and they bring more to light than anybody expected. Everyone in Cass’s life thinks they know her—her psychic grandmother, her promiscuous ex-best friend, her worm-farming brother-in-law, and maybe even her local ghost. But after years of separate silences, no one knows the whole truth. Except Roland. And he’s not talking.

To bring that total to twenty-five, she obtained an undergrad degree and two graduate degrees. There are stories in those experiences, and she chose to use them for fictional inspiration.

For the past twenty years, Kelly has lived in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nevada. She recently accepted a full-time position with Southeast Oklahoma State University to teach Literature and Professional Speech and will soon be a resident, again, of the Midwest.
