The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of Suddenly Spellbound. . .

I had so much fun with this light, easy to follow reading. I was able to get started and enjoyed myself all the way to the end. It was quick to jump in and know what was going on. There were no complication in understand the premise of this book.

Ivie got it right this time. She has a trustworthy man to walk down the aisle with. Or do she. She has to contend with her formerly deceased father and his scheme. Another goat, a Scottish clan, more magic, spells, and yes Jack and an apprentice.

There was fun to be had in the lighthearted read that was great for the winter blues mood that I was in. Pick it up curl up in a good spot with any thing you will need to complete a read.  I hoping the next will be just a lighthearted and fun.

BLURB
Something witchy this way comes.

Kindergarten-teacher-slash-sorceress Ivie McKie has officially sworn off magic. With her father back from the dead—just in time for her upcoming wedding to sexy former magician Jackson Blake—Ivie has plotted a course straight to happily-ever-after-ville. And she won’t let anything get in her way this time.

But Daddy Dearest has something sneaky up his sleeve. When “just one more spell” goes horribly wrong and detours her into the path of her father’s dangerously hot new apprentice, Ivie has to scramble to get the magic… and her love life… back on track.

Along the way, she encounters a promise made before she was born, a clan of Scottish sorcerers in kilts, and yet another goat.

Suddenly Spellbound is a new madcap adventure featuring Ivie McKie from Suddenly Sorceress.

Author Info
After walking away from her career as a business banker to pursue writing full-time, Erica moved from the hustle and bustle of the big city to a small tourist town in the North Georgia Mountains where she lives in a 90-year-old haunted farmhouse with her workaholic husband, her 180lb lap dog, and at least one ghost.
When she’s not busy writing or tending to her collection of crazy chickens, diabolical ducks, and a quintet of piglets, hell bent on having her for dinner, she’s either reading bad fan fiction or singing karaoke in the local pub. Much like the main character in To Katie With Love, Erica is a magnet for disaster, and has been known to trip on air while walking across flat surfaces.

How she’s managed to survive this long is one of life’s great mysteries.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of

This was the kind of kindergarten teacher that I could have had a great time with.  Sweet Ivie has had a really bad day to begin this all off on a really bad foot. She goes on a trip she despises. She gets dumped. She finds that life can be worse but she was determined to make them better.

She has some true friends that work the help her with the situation she finds herself wrapped in. There was fun to be had all around. Maybe not so much for Matt or Ivie at times. But this was a light fun read that kept me going. I needed this read a the time I got it and loved the way it just made me laugh.

Now just to have a bit of it to rub off on the people that I want to turn in to something not quite human. That would really make my day.

BLURB
PMS can be a real witch.

Ivie McKie isn’t your run-of-the-mill kindergarten teacher. After an encounter with a horny goat, followed by a confrontation with her lying, cheating fiancé, Ivie is shocked when the big jerk suddenly transforms into a skunk—the black and white furry variety.

Enlisting the help of her shopaholic friend Chloe and sexy club magician Jackson Blake, Ivie is forced to play a literal game of cat and mouse as she races against the clock to change her ex back before she's arrested for his murder.

With every new spell comes a fresh wave of sexual desire, drawing Jack further into Ivie’s troubles—her panties, the car, the kitchen, and assorted seedy bathrooms along the way.

Ivie soon discovers what every witch worth her spell book knows: There’s nothing worse than a bad case of Post Magical Syndrome.
