From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Dragon Knight’s Ring (Order of the Dragon Knights, #5) . . .
Through the ages of time, love can make a way to be found again and again. But with the time that passes there will always be pain, sorrow, joy, passion, danger. Something broke the bounds to keep them apart. Having them come together again will not be welcomed.

This was my first read of Mary Morgan and I was enchanted with the world of knights, dragons, myths, magic, time-travel, love of soulmates, a druid or two, a few faes here or there, and of course a bad guy. I got a very splendidly detailed time-travel romance that would entice the soul to make that ultimate sacrifice to find that one true love that was meant to be.

Even on the second encounter there was power in that meeting. The explosion within the soul was not one to be denied the truth. There were a whole host of characters to become vested in. The reality of the world they were apart of and protecting was riveting. Scotland has been one of my top romance triggers of all time. Add to that the highlands makes it that much more for me. Then Mary Morgan boost it all with time-travel, knights, druids, and more. The second chance at that one love that was everything and anything to your world.

Be prepared for an emotional ride that will allow for you to cry, laugh, be sad, happy, confused, elated, and passion filled. I will get a chance to explore more of Mary Morgan’s works, beginning with more of the Order of the Dragon Knight series.

BLURB
Death destroyed their love. Yet, can a trio of Fenian warriors roll back time to reunite two lost souls?

Crusader, Adam MacFhearguis is on one last quest to the standing stones in Scotland where he seeks to bury the past. However, a silent prayer sends him to an unknown future and to his beloved Meggie. When he uncovers a shocking revelation, Adam questions everything about the woman he thought he knew and loved. He may have traveled the veil of ages, but time is now his enemy.

Margaret MacKay lives a life in the future without the memories of her past—her death. When Adam arrives at her door confessing he knows her, she is confused and wary. With each passing day, she yearns to learn more from this stranger. Yet, when a truth is revealed, can she trust the man to unlock the chains from her mind and heart?

Will love free the bonds to unite the two lovers who were doomed centuries ago? Or will evil finally claim victory over the Dragon Knights?

Shocked by her words, Adam shoved the spoon into his mouth. Savoring the flavors of the meat, he handed the spoon back to her. Licking his lips, he arched a brow at her. “Needs more salt and meat.” Drinking the last of his beer, he set the bottle down.
“The first time I saw ye was in the hills near Urquhart. I was attempting to calm said beast.” He pointed to Ciar. “He was fierce in the beginning. Yet, ye ambled over to him, singing. Ye have always had a way with the animals. Your voice soothes them.”
“And that’s how we met, right? Ye did share this, but was there more?” She handed him another spoonful of the meat mixture.
“Aye. Ye followed me down to the loch, and we talked for many hours. It was the start of our kinship.”
Meggie rested her chin on her knees. “For how long, Adam?”
“Several summers.” He watched her closely, trying to gage her thoughts.
“Hmm…we were in a relationship.”
Baffled by her word, he shrugged. “I dinnae ken your meaning.”
“Were we a couple? Was I your girlfriend? Sweetheart?”
Adam took his thumb and captured a lone bit of food near her lip. Popping the tasty piece into his mouth, he heard her indrawn breath. “Ye were mine, Meggie. Stubborn, defiant, strong, and ye embraced each day with love for all.”
“What happened?” she asked.
“Ye left.” Standing, Adam moved away. Never a patient man, he wanted to blurt out everything, shake her into remembering. Frustration slithered inside of him. Walking over to an old oak, he braced his hands against its rough bark. He heard her approach, but kept his back to her.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, and then surprised Adam by placing her arms around him.
Her touch seared straight to his soul, fracturing a place within his heart that had been sealed since her death. He broke free from her embrace and turned around. Grasping her face with his hands, his eyes roamed over her features. Seeing her lips part, he could no longer control the man that longed to taste what had been stolen from him. His entire being seemed to be filled with waiting, and he grew weary of the fight.

Lowering his head, his tongue traced the soft fullness of her lips. Then he brushed a feather light kiss on her mouth. It was divine bliss when their lips touched. “Do ye want me to stop?” he asked, breathing the words against her cheek.
“Nae.”
Reclaiming her mouth, Adam crushed her to him. This time, he devoured her soft lips and drank in their sweetness, slipping his tongue inside her mouth. Her moan slid deep within him, and he trembled.

Mary's passion for books started at an early age along with an overactive imagination. She spent far too much time daydreaming and was told quite often to remove her head from the clouds. It wasn't until the closure of Borders Books where Mary worked that she found her true calling--writing romance. Now, the worlds she created in her mind are coming to life within her stories.

INTERVIEW WITH MARY MORGAN
How would you describe you style of writing to someone that has never read your work?
My stories are a mix of Historical, Time-travel, and Paranormal. If you like sexy (cursed) Highlanders, Druids(good and evil), meddlesome Fae Warriors, the Scottish Highlands, and heroines who can stand strong next to Medieval men, then I hope you’ll fall in love with my stories.

What mindset or routine do you feel the need to set when preparing to write (in general whether you are working on a project or just free writing)?
I shut out the outside world by silencing phones and email. I open my leather journal with all my research/notes and review the previous day’s work on the laptop. When I’m ready, I turn on my music. Once the song begins, I’m lost within the story. It’s a basic routine/ritual I follow every day.

Do you take your character prep to heart? Do you nurture the growth of each character all the way through to the page? Do you people watch to help with development? Or do you build upon your character during story creation?
Absolutely! Character preparation is extremely important to me. I write down as much as possible in the beginning stages—from physical features to personality traits. Names are important, too. Once I start writing, I let the characters take over. They’ve led me down some interesting paths. Surprisingly, I’ve never “people watched” to help build with their development. I have too many within my mind to watch. J

Have you found yourself bonding with any particular character? If so which one(s)?
They are all dear to me, and I have no favorites. However, the one that I did relate most to was Angus MacKay, the oldest brother from Dragon Knight’s Shield. I was the oldest in my family, so I understood his pain and guilt at letting his siblings down. He had a duty to lead the way. I’ve often felt the same.

Do you have a character that you have been working on that you can't wait to put to paper?
Oh my gosh! I’m finally writing his story now! Conn MacRoich is a Fenian (Fae) Warrior. He stepped into the pages of my first book, Dragon Knight’s Sword, and I have waited years to write his story. I’m delighted to say that his will be the first in a spin-off series called, Legend of the Fenian Warriors. The first book is, “Quest of a Warrior.”

Have you ever felt that there was something inside of you that you couldn't control? If so what? If no what spurs you to reach for the unexperienced?
Definitely! The fantasy realms within my mind. I’m a constant daydreamer, and there’s always been a story lurking within me. Trust me, I did try when I was younger to control my mind from drifting, but I was miserable. The stories felt trapped. I was most likely a bard in my previous life. J

Thanks so much for hosting me today!

Thank you, Mary Morgan
I have had the pleasure of reading the Dragon Knight’s Ring and I must say that I have been enchanted and want more. I have to get the previous books of this series. I experienced a rich depth of emotional range. I was pulled in and did not want to leave. The strong bond of friends and family was a vital key to it all.  I to look forward to your new spin off series. I expect to get in on the ground level with this upcoming release in the Legend of the Fenian Warriors.

Thanks again,
