Saved by a Seal Box Set is a contemporary romance box set featuring the first in a series from three authors works. Each author bring to life a romance for a well deserved SEAL.
Cav Jordan is strong, honorable and gorgeous…and intrigued by Lia. Lia Cassidy left the service of her country because of a betrayal in the ranks that changed her life. She sought a way to make her life mean more by dedicating her life service to those in the most need, women and children. All this changes for her when her past creeps in and makes this life difficult to continue on.
I love Cav. There was something about him. He stood out as that one man no matter what you could trust. This was a ride in action, adventure, trust, and a little something more.

ALOHA TEXAS (Aloha, #1) by Chris Keniston . . .
This was an emotionally filled read with and ex-navy diver, Nick, a young bright attorney, Kara, and a small package of sweetness, Bradley. There was so much within these pages that kept me turn to the next, then the next chapter, and then I was at the end.
Nick was the man that cut himself off from every loving again. While Kara was the young lady that had yet to really live before things changed for her. Then in walks Bradley. He changes everything for both of them. Which in turns changes things for him as well. There are a host of characters within these pages that makes for an interesting connection.

PROTECTING CAROLINE (SEAL of Protection, #1) by Susan Stoker . . .
Contemporary Romantic Suspense was most certainly what I got when I began the read that turned me on to a new author and new series. I wont mislead you there are no over-the-top sex scenes. This was a romance with mild sexual scenes but sensuality was available as a substitute.
Here we are introduced to a hot group of SEALs forming their own group of protection. We meet them all in some way in this tell of Steel's and Caroline's connection. There is romance, suspense, and action. Coming together to make for a beautiful read.

PROTECTING CAROLINE by Susan Stoker
Book 1, SEAL of Protection Series
Matthew “Wolf” Steel hated flying
commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn’t have to do it very
often. He’d been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped
jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats
with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the
good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet
over the countryside.
When Caroline boarded the plane to
Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be
seated next to the hottest guy she’d ever seen. She also never expected he’d be
so easy to talk to. She knew he’d never be interested in talking to her if he
hadn’t been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a
long plane ride.
Neither Wolf nor Caroline were
prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that
would be the last time she’d see, or need, Wolf, she’d be sorely mistaken.

NOWHERE TO HIDE (Delos, #1) by Lindsay McKenna . . .
Lia had sat on the bed, fighting tears of
humiliation, knowing her body disgusted men.
The same nightmare of being attacked by two assailants with knives, had
jerked her awake once again.
At least, Lia thought, I can be grateful for being
alive.
Since then, she’d given up thinking in terms of
relationships, surrendering to the reality of a life alone, without love, and
without a partnership.
She instead shifted her focus to Delos charity, a
place that welcomed her hard work and her love of children. At least Lia could
do some good for them by giving them her love, care and attention. And those
little ones were like bright flowers, radiant under her care here in Costa
Rica.
She smiled. The children were curious little
things. The first time Lia had stepped into the Home School Foundation building
in La Fortuna, she had tried to gird herself for the children's curiosity about
her scars. But unlike men, the children were simply curious and wanted to touch
them. Lia had seen their sympathy in their large, wide eyes as she crouched
down, allowing them to touch her scar, to feel it, to see sadness come to their
tiny faces that never lied about anything. The children had long ago accepted
her as she was, and adored her because she was there for them. Her scars were
never an issue; in fact, these children had seen their own share of misfortune,
and it bonded them more closely with this American angel who was here to teach,
love, and support them.
Finally, Lia fell into a light, restless sleep. She
never slept deeply after a nightmare, and knew she’d wake up early, feeling
ragged, tired and stressed out. But just the act of getting a shower, clean
clothes, washing her hair and getting ready to go to the school that sat five
hundred feet away from her small home, made her heart sing.
Still, her heart yearned for the right man to walk
into her life. She had just about accepted that the odds of that happening were
so low, there was no point thinking about it. After all, who would want a
carved-up woman with a jagged scar on one side of her face? No one..

ALOHA TEXAS (Aloha, #1) by Chris Keniston . . .
Holy shit. Nick
backed away from the bed until he bumped the wall behind him, his gaze steady
on the frail, unconscious woman he'd once loved with everything in him. She
wouldn't have done that to him. It was one thing to walk away, but to take his
son? Son.
"No," he
mumbled. "No." Pushed by a silent force, he turned on his heel and
bolted out the door. In the hall, his gaze darted from side to side. He needed
answers. Now. Just ahead he spotted the sign for the waiting room. The
lawyer. She'd know.
With every step his
pace quickened until he was practically running down the last strip of hallway.
Gripping the frame with one hand, he flung himself through the door and skidded
to a stop. A woman, maybe fiftyish with salt-and-pepper hair, wearing a dark
suit, sat with her hands folded in her lap. Beside her, Kara read to a little
boy.
Nick studied the
child with as much neutrality as he could muster. He didn't have a whole lot of
experience with little boys. Well, make that any experience, but still if he
had to guess, he'd say the kid was maybe four or five years old. Five. If the
boy were his, he'd be five. From where Nick stood, he saw a cute little kid
with a mop of curly dark hair enjoying the story. The scene could have been any
mother and son. Only he'd bet the Kona Queen this wasn’t Kara's son. He was
Patty Ann's. And maybe his.
As questions of how
and why circled in his head, he forced himself to remain silent, to wait for
the end of the story, for the small child to raise his face so Nick could see.
And then what? If paternity could be pegged at a glance, there'd be no need for
DNA. Finally, Kara said the waited words, the end, and the little boy
gleefully looked up at the woman and asked, "Now can I see Mommy?"
Five words and Nick
felt the vise around his heart tighten another notch. Patty Ann had been his
lover, his friend, his heartbreak, but she was this little boy's mommy.
He took a step
forward, and all eyes in the room turned to him. Someone might as well have
sucker punched him in the solar plexis. Crystal blue eyes stared up at him. The
same eyes he looked at every day in the mirror.
"My God,"
he breathed.
There'd be no need
for DNA. Anyone who had ever seen a photograph of Nick as a small child would
swear in a court of law that this was the same boy.
A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she
fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree
October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!
Twenty years later, she started
scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to
her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend
dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing
contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious
Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary
romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the
happily ever after.
Chris lives in suburban Dallas
with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves
her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German
Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

PROTECTING CAROLINE (SEAL of Protection, #1) by Susan Stoker . . .
Caroline leaned close
to him and cautioned in a soft urgent voice, “Something’s wrong with the ice. I
can smell it. It smells off, like something’s in it.”
Wolf picked up his
drink again and raised it to his face. He could see Caroline wanted to stop
him, but she didn’t. Pretending to take a sip he smelled it as she had…
nothing. He couldn’t detect anything but the orange juice that was in the cup.
He looked at her and said softly, “I don’t smell anything.”
Caroline was
frustrated. She could tell Matthew wanted to believe her, but when he hadn’t
noticed anything off about his drink, he was having a hard time. She looked
away. Great, now he thought she was nuts. But she wasn’t. She was a chemist
dammit, and this is what she did for a living. There was some other chemical in
with the drink, she knew it. But how would she convince him without sounding
crazy?
She turned back to
Matthew, only to see him still looking at her.
“What is it?” he
demanded softly. “Explain, so I can understand.”
Caroline’s respect
for Matthew rose. He wasn’t sure he should believe what she was saying, but he
was smart enough to give her time to convince him, and she knew she’d have to
explain it in a way he could understand.
Caroline knew she had
to get through to him and did her best to convince him she knew what she was
talking about. Lowering her voice even further so the people around them
wouldn’t hear her, she leaned into him and looked him in the eyes as she spoke.
“I don’t know, but as a chemist I’m trained to pick up on the different
chemical smells of compounds. I don’t know what it is, but it’s not natural.”
“Is it in mine too?”
he asked her just as softly, passing his cup over to her.
She sniffed it and
immediately nodded.
“Shit,” Wolf said
under his breath. He believed her. He wasn’t a person to trust easily, but this
woman didn’t have any guile in her at all. She’d have no reason to lie to him.
New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestselling
Author, Susan Stoker has a heart as big as the state of Texas
where she lives, but this all American girl has also spent the last fourteen
