It was no secret that I was a man whore and enjoyed my fair share of women. Several had tried to pin me down over the years, but no way was the noose of matrimony slipping around my neck. I was a fuck ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy, and I liked my life just the way it was. Badge bunnies fell into my bed in droves, even the ones who liked to play innocent, but there was one type of woman I’d always avoided – virgins. Which makes things a little awkward when hot little Josie Wright, the reverend’s daughter, makes me harder than I’ve ever been before. Just one look at those slender legs and perky tits, and all I can think about is being balls deep inside of her, but good girls like Josie don’t hang out with bad boys like me.

JOSIE
I’ve always had the perfect life
– loving parents and a stable home life. Until now. When my father told me I
was to marry Reverend Falks, a man thirty years my senior, in exchange for our
church getting a new roof, I knew he had to be kidding. The good reverend has
told me in no uncertain terms that he plans to keep me barefoot and pregnant,
along with some other details that make my stomach queasy. I’ll do anything to
avoid my fate, even if it means falling into Officer Daniels’ bed. Except, once
I’m there, I don’t want to leave. He makes me feel things I’ve never
experienced before, and for the first time in my life, I’m realizing that maybe
it’s good to be a little bad.
WARNING:
This story contains one dirty talking hunky police officer, a sweet and innocent
reverend’s daughter, and LOTS of steamy sex. Being bad has never been so good.

EXCERPT:
“I’ll drop you by your parents’ home, and you can arrange to get
your car later.”
“I don’t want to go there.”
I stopped at a four-way intersection and looked at her. “Then
where do you want to go?”
“Can we just drive around for a bit?”
Holy hell. She was trying to kill me. Or get me fired, because I
was pretty sure the police chief wouldn’t be too pleased to find me balls deep
inside Josie Wright on the side of the road, and if she stayed in this car much
longer, that was what would happen.
“Josie, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
She blinked at me innocently before her gaze dropped to my lap,
and my very hard cock. Her eyes dilated and her lips parted. The way she licked
her lips was enough to make my dick jerk, and I knew I had to get her out of
the car and away from me as fast as possible. Either that or I was going to be
very, very bad.
“Josie.” My tone came out strangled as she continued to stare.
Her cheeks flushed, and her eyes cut toward the window. I could
tell she was intrigued, yet her innocence kept her from saying what was on her
mind. And hell if that didn’t just turn me on even more. I’d been with more
women than I could count, but damn if she didn’t make me harder than I’d ever
been before. But Josie wasn’t a “right now” kind of woman. She was the forever
kind. I might have been thirty-two, but I wasn’t ready for the picket fence,
golden retriever in the yard, and two point five kids just yet. No, whoever
plucked her cherry was going to be a lucky bastard, but I’d be willing to bet
it would be her husband.

Q&A with Harley Wylde
When did you first know you wanted to be a
writer?
I don’t
know that there was ever one clear moment when I decided I wanted to be a
writer. In school, I always loved writing assignments and I started working on
my first book in ninth grade. That story was never finished, and will
definitely never see the light of day, but writing seemed to set me free. It
was until my late twenties that I managed to finish writing a book.
Why do you write New Adult romance?
I
discovered the New Adult genre before it was called that, and I always enjoyed
reading the stories about younger heroines. It gave me a chance to relive my
youth, I suppose, without the hassle of all those life lessons I had to learn
the hard way. It wasn’t until this summer that I decided to try to write one.
Before that, I wrote adult romances under another name, but they were much
tamer than Grease Monkey and Cuffs & Kink. I worried that my readers
wouldn’t appreciate my new style of writing, so Harley Wylde was created.
How often do you write?
My husband
works from 7pm-7am on a rotating schedule, so I’ve had to adapt a bit. During
the day, I’ve found there are too many distractions, and my kids are too active
until bedtime (around 9pm). My writing is done on the nights my husband works,
but after the kids are asleep. Some weeks that means I write only two nights a
week, and other times that means I write as many as five nights a week. On rare
occasions, he’ll take the kids out somewhere on his days off and I get a little
extra writing time then.
Do you write full-time?
Yes. I
had a full-time job until 2010. I had been out on medical leave and when I
called to see about going back, I was told my services were no longer needed.
There was some panic on my part, and I hunted for another job heavily until summer
2011, when my husband told me I already had a job – I was a writer. Not having
a “day job” has cut my income a lot, but I think things have worked out for the
best. I love being home with my family and while I still stress about bills,
it’s not the same as the stress I had from my job. I love writing and hope I
get to keep at it for years to come.
Do you ever get writer’s block?
Definitely.
I get so frustrated when I want to write but the words just won’t come to me.
Usually, I try watching a favorite movie, or maybe I’ll read a favorite book.
At any given time, I have over a hundred unread books on my Kindle or Nook, so
finding something new to read is always an option as well. I think my brain
just needs to relax a little and once that happens, it’s like a switch is
flipped and I’m able to write again.
Is there a particular snack or drink you have
while writing?
I love
white mochas from Starbucks, but generally I have a cold Coke nearby. I don’t
snack a lot while I’m writing, I usually reserve that for my reading or TV
watching time. If I do nibble on something while I’m working, it’s usually
chips or Chex Mix. I have cats though, and they think my food is their food, so
it’s usually easier to eat when I can pay attention and not let them into the
bag, because they always try to help themselves.
What are your ambitions with your writing
career?
I guess
like most authors, at some point in my career, I’d love to see my name on the
USA Today bestseller list. But honestly, I’m just happy being able to write
what I love. Writing is an emotional outlet for me, and thankfully it helps pay
the bills. So, I guess my main ambition with writing is to write until I’m in
my 70’s or 80’s because I can’t imagine anything more wonderful than getting to
do something I love for such a long time. As long as there are people willing
to read my stories, I’ll keep writing them.
Author Info
Short.
Erotic. Sweet.
Harley’s
other half would probably say those words describe her, but they also describe
her books. When Harley is writing, her motto is the hotter the better. Off the
charts sex, commanding men, and the women who can’t deny them. If you want men
who talk dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you’ve come to
the right place.
When Harley
isn’t writing, she’s thinking up naughty things to do to her husband, drinking
copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read and devours a book
a day, sometimes more.
