I
did the read the easy way. I let someone else read it to me. I seriously
enjoyed it. I was able to do my long drive and have entertainment of my own
while doing it.
Lucian mafia. Jordyn biker chick. How hot does it get both for the good and the bad? This was not a relationship that was to be acceptable by either side. This type of over the top hardcore mafia life has it quirks, edges, and guidelines. You just don't step out of line without having to pay the consequences. That lesson was learned.
I enjoyed the read/narration (more below).

Narration Review from the Book Junkie Reads . . . Lucian . . .
John Thrust does a magnificent job with the narration of this already wide open melodrama of a crime family and the bad (not in a good way) motorcycle club. His diction. Beautiful accented English & Italian. Believable Italian. Forceful mobster/crime boss. He totally brings to life the work that Bethany-Kris put together. The story itself stirs you to action and emotion. Thrust makes it all the more real.
BLURB
Lucian Marcello is aware of the expectations following him as the
oldest son of one of North America’s most infamous Cosa Nostra Dons. Family in
his world is more than blood and sharing a last name. It’s the honor, respect,
business, and the life. Being a Capo is just a stepping stone until it’s time
for him to take on the role of underboss but a chance meeting with her could be
the one thing he’d risk it all for.
She
is exactly what he didn’t know he was looking for.
Jordyn Reese spends her time
trying to stay under the radar of a man who wouldn’t think twice about killing
her. Unwillingly affiliated with a dangerous MC gang, her life is dominated by
the men surrounding her and her future rests solely in how useful she can be
for them. The last thing she needs is some Mafioso gaining her more unwanted
attention from the club.
He
is everything she should stay away from but can’t.
Notoriously violent when it
comes to getting what he wants, Lucian will stop at nothing to make the target
on Jordyn’s back disappear. But sometimes the worst threats are the ones you
can’t see until it’s too late. The truth behind Lucian’s history is about to
take center stage in more ways than one, and it’ll either save him … or kill
him.
This world leaves everyone a
little filthy.
Filthy Marcellos, Book One
*** Filthy
Marcellos: La Cosa Nostra is not just a choice of regime and routine, it’s a
culture. Born as mafia royalty, the Marcello brothers were raised ingrained
with the beliefs and rules of what it meant to be a Mafioso prince. It is for
life. Their status is considered a given right. They will always be these
people. They will always be Marcellos.

NARRATOR - JOHN THRUST
I
wanted to be an actor as far back as I can remember, but I was never attracted
to the lifestyle. In
school whenever the teacher asked someone else to read aloud I remember often
thinking, “You’re not reading it right, let me do it”. In
college my communication degree required that I take oral interpretation classes.
I took first and second level classes and crushed them. I
ended up in radio. A comprise, of sorts, to acting. I did the commercials and
loved doing goofy character voices; sexy huh? During that time I did a local theater
production and the director said I should go to the big city and get working. Sometime
later I auditioned to train for The Second City’s touring group. I got in and
was doing well… but… the lifestyle. I’ve been dabbling in voice acting for
many years and have been recording audio books along the way and so… here I am. I’m
OK with the lifestyle. I do hope folks like what they hear and to all those
who listen I say, “thank you!”
