The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of The Workaholic and the Realist (New Hampshire Bears, #2) . . .
I had a chance to read the first book in this series and find that the combination of an older woman and a younger man to be yet again interesting. I mostly enjoy the fact that these women are strong, independent, and driven all on their own without a man in the picture. The proposal of a sexual affair with a much younger man brings and added boost to these women’s lives.

Keaton Jaco was the young hottie with his head on his shoulders and a good respect for work. He also had a thing for one mature Harlow Goldsmith. Why not get something extra on the side while the interest was there? Harlow had achieved most everything she had planned to do by the age of 40. With the exception of having a sex life. When the opportunity comes up that she could enjoy the sex life she has dreamed off but had not time for she, of course, jumps on it.

Likeable, well rounded characters that you get to know better with each new book and the continuation of the New Hampshire Bears series. There is a formula her and thus far it is working.

I did enjoy the read and look forward to seeing more from Mary Smith and the New Hampshire Bears series. Gotta love cougar romances that have a real connection with the soul.

BLURB
If someone looked up the word workaholic in the dictionary, one would see a picture of New Hampshire Bears’ Keaton Jaco next to it. Not only is he a top defensemen in the hockey league; he’s also working towards a master’s degree and writing a book. His teammates think he’s just a playboy, but his grandmother and one other person knows the truth.

Harlow Goldsmith has never wanted to get married or have children. She considers herself a realist and knows all she wants in life is to be financially stable, travel, and have sex. After turning forty and starting her own editing company, she’s realized she has accomplished most of her goals and has done it without the help of any man.

It’s not until the workaholic and the realist initiate a sexual liaison that they see their lives in a whole new light. With both set in their ways, is a relationship even possible?
