There is a oil and water vibe going on between Light and Ryker, but through it all you can feel the love growing stronger. I found this to be a build to a beauty between an empath and shifter. She is an emotional wounded empath and he is the moody shifter. They are both fated to be with each other and there is nothing they can do to change that.
Venez place a connection between the two characters even placing obstacles in their way. When it comes to protection, Ryker proves to be all she needs.
